Tesollo’s DG-5F Selected as One of the “2025 Top 10 Mechanical Technologies of Korea”

Tesollo, a Korean company specializing in advanced robotic grippers, has been selected for the “2025 Top 10 Mechanical Technologies of Korea” award hosted by the Korea Federation of Mechanical Engineering Societies (KOFMES). The company’s humanoid multi-joint robotic hand, the DG-5F (Delto Gripper-5F), was recognized for its technological excellence and industrial impact. This achievement highlights the company’s R&D progress over the past year and marks a significant milestone in elevating the technological competitiveness of Korea’s robotic hand industry.

The Top 10 Mechanical Technologies of Korea is one of the nation’s most prestigious technical awards, recognizing outstanding technologies developed domestically. Final selections are made through a strict evaluation process that examines innovation, technical difficulty, and industrial contribution. Tesollo submitted the DG-5F following a recommendation from the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH), earning high scores in areas such as technical maturity in humanoid robot components and proven industrial applicability.

The DG-5F replicates the human hand with five fingers and 20 fully actuated joints (20 degrees of freedom). It is capable of grasping objects of various shapes and textures, and can perform complex precision tasks such as assembly, manipulation, and transfer operations. Each joint integrates a motor, driver, encoder, and reducer into a single compact module, enabling high manufacturability, easy maintenance, 0.1° repeatability, and 75 rpm joint speed—performance levels suitable for demanding industrial environments.

Building on this mechanical structure, Tesollo has incorporated advanced control technologies including high-speed multidrop communication protocols, in-hand manipulation, and force-based grasping algorithms. These capabilities allow the DG-5F to automate complex, unstructured manual tasks that conventional automation systems struggle to handle. The robot hand is increasingly adopted not only in manufacturing and logistics processes requiring human-like dexterity—such as assembly, packaging, and sorting—but also as a research platform for global AI companies seeking high-quality human motion data.

Tesollo has already established a mass-production system for the DG-5F and is expanding supply to major global customers. The product has been adopted by leading research institutions—including Stanford University, ETH Zurich, and KAIST—as well as top manufacturers in the automotive, electronics, and logistics sectors, demonstrating its competitiveness in both domestic and international markets. With the rapid growth of the humanoid robotics sector and increasing demand for unstructured task automation, global orders for the DG-5F continue to accelerate.

Leveraging its selection for the Top 10 Mechanical Technologies of Korea, Tesollo announced its plans to further advance the global standardization of Korean multi-joint robotic hands. The company aims to establish itself as a world-leading robotic hand platform provider in the fields of humanoid robotics and complex manual task automation.
